Vaginal Tightening & Stress Urinary Incontinence

Maintain and optimise your vaginal health with radiofrequency.

Vaginal tissue age and might become looser in pregnancy, after childbirth or during and after the menopause called vaginal laxity. Symptoms can range from loss of bladder control to a decrease in sensation and pleasure during sex which can have a significant impact on a woman’s confidence.
Dr Farzana believes in empowering women to feel their best and is passionate about offering regenerative therapies to treat vaginal laxity as well as mild stress urinary incontinence. Dr Farzana offers Neauvia SECTUM radiofrequency therapy, a nonsurgical regenerative vaginal tightening treatment that is safe, effective and scientifically proven to deliver results.

How does radiofrequency technology help vaginal laxity and urinary incontinence?

Radiofrequency is used to warm up the lining of the vagina and the vulva. It restructures the collagen and elastin, improves the blood flow and increases the moisture in the vagina, which makes the tissues tighten and contract. This encourages the growth of more collagen and elastin, so the vaginal walls are stronger and plumper. Strengthened vaginal walls will support the bladder better and help symptoms of stress urinary incontinence including involuntary leakage of urine when for example coughing, sneezing, laughing or jumping.

What happens during a radiofrequency therapy appointment?

A slim probe is applied to the vagina and vulva which creates a gentle warming sensation. Some patients describe this as similar to having a warm stone massage. The process is painless, and the only thing you might be aware of is the motion of the probe, and a gentle warming sensation.

How long will it take?

The treatment takes around 15–20 minutes and Dr Farzana ensures that you’re comfortable and relaxed. There is no downtime – you can carry on with your day as normal following your treatment.

How often should I have radiofrequency therapy?

It is recommended to have three treatments at approximately weekly intervals for optimum results. Far from being a purely aesthetic procedure for the vulva, radiofrequency often improves sensation resulting in increased sexual confidence in women.

Can radiofrequency therapy be used on the vulva?

Volume loss of the labia majora can create sagging of the vulva, which often leads to discomfort during intercourse. Women often feel self-conscious if the labia has lost its volume and integrity. Dr Farzana offers radiofrequency to the vulva and labia majora as a stand-alone or in combination with intimate fillers to improve hydration, neovascularisation and the condition of the collagen and the elastin in the vulvo-vaginal area.

How do I know if nonsurgical vaginal tightening will be right for me?

If you believe your vulvo-vaginal area is not functioning or feeling the same way you may want to explore radiofrequency therapy. It is effective in treating vaginal laxity shortly after a vaginal childbirth, but equally, during and after menopause, when vaginal atrophy (the thinning and drying of the vaginal walls) is common. The treatment can have a positive impact on everything from painful sex to mild stress urinary incontinence and prolapse.
